Zendesk Help Center
Paste your policy text, or try it in /try. One-click Zendesk connection is coming.
When a Help Center article your bot relies on is published or edited, Help Center Check re-checks every saved answer that links to it and tells the workspace owner which answers lost support. You connect with Zendesk’s own OAuth approval screen: nobody creates, copies or pastes an API token.
How it will work
- In your Help Center Check dashboard, open Sources → “Connect a Zendesk Help Center”, enter your subdomain and press Connect with Zendesk.
- Zendesk shows its own approval screen for Xyntherium Help Center Check. Approve it as a Zendesk admin.
- Help Center Check creates one webhook for article events and imports your 25 most-voted articles as sources. Link your saved answers to them, or let Help Center Check draft starter answers for you to approve.
What Help Center Check can see and do
- It asks Zendesk for three permissions: read Help Center articles (hc:read), and read and manage its own webhook (webhooks:read, webhooks:write). It never reads tickets, users or agent data, and it never edits your articles.
- It creates one webhook for the events “article published” and “article unpublished”. Zendesk sends no event for an edit to a published article, so Help Center Check also reads your 100 most recently updated articles every ten minutes and compares each article’s edit time.
- Every webhook call is verified with the webhook’s signing secret. The OAuth tokens and the signing secret are stored encrypted and never logged. Tokens expire and are renewed automatically; if Zendesk refuses to renew one, the dashboard asks you to connect again.
- History starts when you connect. Zendesk’s API returns each article as it is now, with no earlier versions, so Help Center Check cannot import an article’s past edits; it records every version from the day you connect.
- Disconnect from the dashboard at any time: Help Center Check deletes its webhook and revokes its token. Your sources and their versions stay in your workspace until you delete them.
- Before you publish an edit, paste or upload the draft into “Check a draft” on the article’s source in the dashboard: Help Center Check shows which saved answers would contradict it. Zendesk’s API does not expose a pending edit to a published article, so Help Center Check cannot pick drafts up on its own.
The Zendesk app (optional)
The app adds Help Center Check to Zendesk’s left navigation for admins. It only opens the dashboard for your subdomain; it makes no API calls of its own. It is not in the Zendesk Marketplace yet: install it as a private app (Admin Center → Apps and integrations → Apps → Zendesk Support apps → Upload private app).
Download the app (v0.2.0)Alerts go to the Help Center Check workspace owner by email and Slack, not to agents.
